DEVOTIONAL: REFRESH AND ALWAYS BE FRESH

Refreshing our relationship with God is considered essential for spiritual vitality because, like any close relationship, it requires daily nurturing to prevent apathy, drifting, and spiritual dryness. Constant renewal is necessary to align heart desires with divine will, cultivate a tender heart, and receive strength to navigate life's challenges.

Here is a breakdown of why refreshing our relationship to God daily is so important:

 1. It Counteracts Spiritual "Drift" and Dryness

Just as plants need daily water, the human spirit needs consistent, daily renewal to avoid becoming "dry," bored, or distant from God. Without intentional, daily connection, it is easy to drift into lukewarm faith or replace genuine intimacy with empty, routine, or "check-the-box" religion.

2. It Provides Constant Spiritual Renewal and Strength

Spiritual renewal is not a one-time event; it is a daily, or even hourly, process.

  • Recharged Strength: "They who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31), allowing believers to run without becoming weary.
  • Emotional & Mental Clarity: Daily refreshing helps manage, or remove, fear, anxiety, and stress.
  • Purification: It offers a "divine reset" that brings the heart back to a healthy rhythm and wipes away the fatigue of daily life.

3. It Deepens Intimacy and Alignment

  • Relationship Over Routine: The goal is to move beyond "performing" for God to knowing Him intimately.
  • Aligning Desires: Regular communication through prayer and the Bible helps align personal desires with God's will, ensuring that choices are made based on divine guidance rather than limited human logic.
  • Increased Sensitivity: Consistent fellowship makes the believer more sensitive to the Holy Spirit and better able to recognize God's voice.

4. It Produces Lasting Fruit and Character

  • Character Formation: Character is formed primarily in communion with God.
  • Bearing Fruit: Jesus compared the relationship to a vine and branches; staying connected is the only way to produce lasting spiritual fruit, as "apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).
  • Overflow to Others: The stronger the bond with God, the more love and kindness one has to give to others.

Practical Ways to Refresh the Relationship Daily

  • Prioritize Morning Devotion: Starting the day with God sets the tone and ensures that he is the focus of the day.
  • Vocal, Honest Prayer: Speaking aloud and being honest about feelings—including doubts or anger—builds trust and removes barriers.
  • Regular Bible Study: Using the Bible to guide thoughts allows for continual, daily "replenishing".
  • Acts of Service: Serving others is a direct way to serve God and keep the heart, not just the ritual, focused on him.

Be a FRESH Christian…….

F-ixed your eyes unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)

R-echeck you heart (Psalm 139:23-24)

E-veryday life (1 John 2:6)

S-eek his will (Matthew 6:33)

H-onor God (Colossians 3:17)

A Short Refreshing Prayer:

Lord, thank you that your law is perfect, refreshing the soul (Psalm 19:7). When I am weary and faint, I ask for your peace to wash over me, bringing the refreshment only you can provide. Amen!

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

DEVOTIONAL: PAGTAMO NG KARUNUNGANG MAKA-DIYOS

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,  but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus. A key verse on repentance is 1 John 1...
