DEVOTIONAL: WHY DO WE BELIEVE IN GOD?

READING: John 6:25-40

WHY DO WE BELIEVE IN GOD?

Anchor Verse:

V26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

The people in this passage  keeps on following Jesus because of the bread that Jesus did, as he feeds them all and  they were filled( Jesus Feeds the five thousands). Jesus knew their hearts. So Jesus reminds them to not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

And they asked Jesus, what must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered them to believe in him.But they ask Jesus a sign to perform for them to believe. They did not recognized the sign Jesus did, who gave them loaves of bread but they recognized  Moses whom they’ve heard who gave their acestors manna in the wilderness long ago. Once again Jesus reminds them that it is God who gave that manna and it is not Moses.

⭐️Let’s make it personal; How many signs we want Jesus to perform for us to believe in him fully? To whom our faith focusing right now?

Do we believe and follow Jesus only because of personal interest like blessings? What if in times of uncertainty, trials and harships, do we still believe in him the same faith as we recieved blessings?

We are all working for a living to provide our family food to eat and drink, all for their good and future but in reality we give most importance for our physical needs and wants rather than Jesus Christ but unsatisfied. To have an intimate relationship with him for us to be enable to work for the food that last forever and that is the word of God.We choose to reject and forget Jesus who is preparing our future and  has better plan that satisfies us forever.

V35Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

IF WE BELIEVE IN HIS WORD TODAY..

What must we do to have the BREAD of LIFE?

B-Believe in God and believe also in Jesus.

R-Read his word, know his commands and promises.

E-Entrust our life to God with obedience.

A-Acknowlege JESUS CHRIST in all our ways.

D- Do not work for food that spoils but food for our soul to eternity(salvation).

REMEMBER:

“Do not focus always on the blessings(bread) but focus  on the Blesser, to our God Almighty, our great provider and  his name is Jesus Christ the savior of our soul believe and be saved.

Memory Verse:

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

DEVOTIONAL: PAGTAMO NG KARUNUNGANG MAKA-DIYOS

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,  but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus. A key verse on repentance is 1 John 1...
