DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start.

It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation.

It is also an act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living fixing our eyes to Jesus.

This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus.

A key verse on repentance is 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". This verse is telling believers to confess their sin every time they sin need to realize that every sin needs to be recognized and confessed. And most of all should not be repeated. Other verses, such as Matthew 3:2 ("Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand") It means to change your inner self and live the new life that Christ Jesus has brought unto us and to the world.  And Acts 26:20 ("performing deeds in keeping with their repentance"), emphasize changing one's ways is not only through our lips but it should be put into an action. A complete submission of our whole being in obedience to our God's commands.

The Greek word for repentance, metanoia, means "a change of mind" that leads to a change in direction from worldly to become godly people through Christ Jesus.

Our nature of being worldly needs to be changed into a new direction in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for us to be reconciled to our Mighty Father in heaven. Grabbing the privilege of being His child through faith. As we were all have fallen short in his glory and were once become his enemy but now are invited for reconciliation through faith by accepting Jesus Christ personally as our Lord and savior. This is a way of our recognition for his love, mercy and grace. Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!". This verse describes the spiritual transformation that occurs when a person is truly accepts Jesus Christ. It signifies that their old life of sin has passed away and a new life has begun. And the promise of thi kind of faith is salvation with eternal life (John 3:16).

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

DEVOTIONAL: PAGTAMO NG KARUNUNGANG MAKA-DIYOS

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,  but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
